Tenantos: Version 1.0.30 has been released

The main highlight of this release is the introduction of the "Advanced Switch Management" with VLAN automation capabilities. Alongside this development, we are preparing to move out of the early adopter phase soon and revise the pricing structure for new orders.

Full release notes are available on this page. In the following, some of the highlights of this update are described in more detail.

Advanced Switch Management

The "Advanced Switch Management" has been released and is now in public testing, following a private beta phase. Public testing means that there may still be bugs, and the use of the system is at your own risk.

Currently, Junos and Arista EOS are supported. Support for Cisco will follow in a future release.

A primary focus of the "Advanced Switch Management" is on flexibility. Tenantos can, depending on the subnet configuration, opt to use an existing VLAN if the Layer 3 IP of the subnet is already associated with a VLAN or if the interface of the server is already within a VLAN. Additionally, Tenantos can reassign Layer 3 IPs between VLANs when IPs of multiple subnets are assigned to a server. This approach allows a dynamic configuration of VLANs, beyond static setups. Tenantos has the capability to analyze the current VLAN configuration and formulate a valid and suitable configuration.

More information about the automation features can be found here.

Planned Update for the WHMCS Integration

In the upcoming weeks, an updated version of the WHMCS integration will be released. The focus of the next update will be to make use of the new possibilities that the "Advanced Switch Management" provides, including the option to order additional IPs for dedicated servers at the time of purchase, with automatic provisioning of these IPs.

Early Adopter Phase Ending Soon

At the latest after the next update, the early adopter phase will end and the price for each server will be adjusted accordingly. As written on the website, existing license holders will be able to continue using Tenantos at the current price. The price increase will only affect new orders.
